As the lead graphic designer on the research team of the Abu Dhabi Parenting Program, I created culturally specific, visually compelling educational materials for a new parent education program, the Abu Dhabi Parenting Program. This initiative, a collaborative effort among the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), Zayed University (ZU), and the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE), aims to provide Abu Dhabi-resident parents and primary caregivers with essential knowledge and skills for promoting the healthy development of children under the age of eight.
Based on the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority’s newly developed brand guidelines, I created educational materials for facilitators and parents including slide presentations in English and Arabic, a 150+ page manual for program facilitators, marketing materials, posters, activity cards, and 80+ custom illustrations.
The program leverages evidence-based and culturally informed strategies to address key early childhood development domains, including health, nutrition, and early learning. Spearheaded by co-principal investigators Dr. Antje von Suchodoletz (NYUAD), Dr. Michelle Kelly (ECAE), and Dr. Christin Camia (ZU), it testifies to Abu Dhabi's commitment to enhancing the well-being of families and supporting the pivotal role of parents in early education.
My work culminated in a pilot rollout targeting 30 facilitators and 300 parents to evaluate its impact, and is currently under development to become a regularly offered program.
