Arts & Humanities Capstone Festival (NYUAD)
2019
Project type:
Identity, publication, web
The Capstone project is one of the key experiences that defines an NYUAD education, differentiates it from other undergraduate schools, and unites every NYUAD student. At the end of their fourth year, Arts & Humanities Division Capstone students present their work in various forms at the A&H Capstone Festival, a month-long series of performances, poster sessions, readings, art shows, film screenings, talks, and more.
My goal was design a visual identity for the Arts & Humanities Capstone Festival that will be reusable and recognizable every year, that will generate a sense of excitement and accomplishment, and that will communicate the value of the Capstone program through symbolism and activation of Capstone Festival spaces.
In 2020 and 2021 I was part of the team leading the pivot from a physical festival to an all-digital event, designing a website to showcase every project in a way that evoked serendipity and celebration, coded by Jack B. Du.
I have also designed an archival book presenting an abstract of each project from 2019-2023.
